Our Story

The Nisarg Organic Farm Story

A Journey from Pure Soil to Pure Herbal Care

Nisarg Organic Farm was not born simply as a business. It emerged from years of learning, observation, research, farming, experimentation, and one fundamental belief:

When people receive clean, fresh and carefully processed herbs, they can make better choices for their health and well-being.

Our journey began with a question about why the expected benefits of traditional herbs were not always being experienced by people. The search for that answer eventually took us from naturopathy and clinical practice to medicinal farming, soil health, organic cultivation, processing and value-added herbal products.

2009 | The Beginning

In 2009, we completed our 12th standard education through Sanskrit medium at Vartantu Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Sola, Ahmedabad.

The same year, we got married to Ritaben.

This was the beginning of a journey that would eventually connect education, healthcare, agriculture and natural living.

2010–2013 | Studying Natural Approaches to Health

From 2010 to 2013, we studied Naturopathy and natural approaches to health and well-being, while also pursuing higher studies in Sanskrit.

During this period, our interest in understanding the human body and natural methods of supporting health continued to grow.

The learning was not limited to books. It gradually became a practical exploration of how traditional knowledge and nature could work together.

2014 | Nisarg Chikitsa & Acupressure Centre

In 2014, we started our naturopathy clinic:

Nisarg Chikitsa & Acupressure Centre

People began visiting the clinic seeking natural approaches for their health concerns.

Herbal preparations and traditional remedies were also used where appropriate.

But with practical experience came an important question.

Why do herbs described in traditional knowledge sometimes fail to provide the expected results, or why can their benefits take longer to appear?

Instead of simply accepting the situation, we decided to investigate.

We began studying the complete journey of an herb:

Where is it grown?
How is it cultivated?
What kind of soil does it grow in?
When is it harvested?
How is it dried?
How long is it stored?
How is it processed before reaching the consumer?

The more we studied, the more we understood that the quality of an herb is influenced by much more than the name of the plant itself.

2015 | Understanding Medicinal Plants Scientifically

In 2015, we began an in-depth study of medicinal plant cultivation, production and processing from a scientific perspective.

We started looking at the entire journey of a medicinal plant, from soil and cultivation to harvesting, drying, processing and storage.

One principle became increasingly important to us:

Quality begins at the soil.

If we wanted to create better-quality herbal products, we needed to understand and improve the foundation from which everything begins: the land.

2016 | Beginning Organic Medicinal Farming

In 2016, we started cultivating organic medicinal herbs and vegetables.

The fresh produce from our farms was also used to prepare fresh juices, which were supplied to people.

That same year, following the passing of our father, we took responsibility for the family land and gaushala.

This gave us the opportunity to continue our work with medicinal farming while developing a much deeper understanding of soil, cultivation and natural farming practices.

Our objective was not simply to grow crops.

We wanted to build living soil.

We focused on improving the biological health and natural vitality of the soil so that medicinal plants could grow in a healthier and more natural environment.

2018 | From Cultivation to Value Addition

By 2018, we began focusing on value addition of the medicinal crops grown through our organic farming practices.

Instead of supplying herbs only in their raw form, we started developing ways to process them into useful products.

During this phase, we also obtained organic certification, strengthening our commitment to responsible and certified organic cultivation.

The focus was becoming clear:

Grow carefully.
Process responsibly.
Preserve quality.
Create useful products.

2019 | Developing Our Solar Drying Process

Until this point, conventional drying methods were being used.

In 2019, we developed a solar drying system for medicinal herbs.

The objective was to create a more controlled drying environment rather than exposing herbs directly to harsh outdoor conditions.

After drying, the herbs were processed and converted into powders where appropriate.

Our goal was to minimize unnecessary processing and help preserve the herbs’ natural characteristics and quality as much as reasonably possible throughout the process.

2020 | From Local Stalls to E-Commerce

Until 2020, we regularly participated in different exhibitions and markets, setting up stalls and personally introducing our products to people.

In 2020, we took the next step.

We began making our products available through our website and e-commerce platforms, allowing people from outside our immediate area to access them.

Around the same time, we began developing approximately 20 different products.

At that stage, our farming network consisted of just two farmers working together to cultivate medicinal crops.

2023 | 41 Products. 13 Farmers.

The journey continued to grow.

By 2023, we had developed approximately:

41 Products

with

13 Farmers

participating in medicinal and organic cultivation.

What had once started around a single farming operation was gradually becoming a network built around farmers, cultivation and herbal products.

2025 | 50 Products. 26 Farmers.

By 2025, the journey had expanded further.

50+ Products

26 Farmers

Growing Organic & Medicinal Cultivation Network

But these numbers represent more than business growth.

Every additional farmer represents another connection to the land.

Every product represents another attempt to make carefully cultivated herbs more accessible.

And every step forward represents our continuing effort to build a more responsible connection between soil, farmers, herbs and people.

How We Work Today

Today, Nisarg Organic Farm focuses on bringing together the complete journey of herbal products:

Living Soil → Organic Cultivation → Careful Harvesting → Controlled Drying → Processing → Value Addition → People

Our medicinal herbs are cultivated in organic, biologically active soil, with emphasis on maintaining healthy agricultural practices.

After harvesting, the herbs are processed carefully.

We use our UV-protected solar drying system to create a controlled drying environment and help protect the herbs from unnecessary exposure during the drying process.

The dried herbs are then processed into powders or other value-added forms, depending on the product.

Our objective is simple:

To preserve the natural qualities of the herb as carefully as possible from farm to finished product.

More Than One Farm

Nisarg Organic Farm is not limited to a single piece of land.

Today, our journey involves working with multiple farmers who participate in medicinal and organic cultivation.

We are also creating opportunities for women to participate in employment and value-added activities connected with our work.

For us, growth is not only about producing more products.

It is about creating a system where:

Farmers benefit.
Women get opportunities.
The soil is respected.
Medicinal plants are cultivated responsibly.
And people receive carefully grown and processed herbal products.

The Question That Started Everything

Our journey began with a simple but important question:

“If traditional knowledge tells us about the value of a medicinal herb, why don’t people always experience the expected benefits?”

Searching for the answer took us beyond the clinic.

It took us into the fields.

From the fields, it took us into the soil.

From the soil, into cultivation.

From cultivation, into processing.

And from processing, into creating products that could reach more people.

That journey continues even today.

Our Philosophy

At Nisarg Organic Farm, we believe that a herbal product should not begin with a finished package.

It should begin with the soil.

With healthy soil.
With responsible cultivation.
With carefully grown medicinal plants.
With thoughtful processing.
And with respect for the natural qualities of every herb.

Because for us, organic farming is not just a method of cultivation. It is a responsibility towards the land, the farmer and the people who ultimately use what we grow.
