Organic Amla Powder is 100% pure Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis) — shade-dried and stone-ground into a fine green powder with no fillers, no dyes and no preservatives. It is used two ways: as a hair mask for stronger, darker, thicker-looking hair, and taken internally as one of nature's richest plant sources of vitamin C. Nisarg Organic Farm grows and processes it on our own certified organic land in Gujarat, India.

How to Use Amla Powder
As a hair mask (2–3 times a week)
Mix 2–3 tablespoons of amla powder with warm water (or curd) into a smooth paste. Rest 15 minutes. Apply from root to tip, leave 30–45 minutes, rinse with plain water or a mild shampoo.
With henna for natural colour
Mix amla powder with henna in a 1:3 ratio to deepen the tone and cut henna's orange-red brightness.
Internally (for vitamin C)
½ to 1 teaspoon in warm water, honey or juice, once daily — preferably in the morning. Start with a smaller dose.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does amla powder really help hair growth?
Amla has been used in Ayurveda for centuries to strengthen hair roots and reduce breakage. It works best used consistently — a weekly or twice-weekly mask over 8–12 weeks — alongside a protein-adequate diet.
Will amla powder darken my hair?
Amla does not dye hair on its own, but it deepens and cools the tone when mixed with henna, and is traditionally used to help maintain natural dark hair colour.
Can I leave amla powder in my hair overnight?
It is not recommended. 30–45 minutes is enough. Leaving it too long can dry the scalp, especially if your hair is already dry.
Is amla powder safe to eat daily?
Yes, in food-level amounts (½–1 tsp daily). If you are pregnant, nursing, or on prescription medication, check with your doctor first.
How is this different from supermarket amla powder?
Most retail amla powder is heat-dried and blended with fillers. Ours is shade-dried to preserve vitamin C, single-ingredient, and grown on our own organic farm — not bought from a commodity market.
Do you ship amla powder to the USA?
Yes. We ship worldwide from India, including the USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand.
