Payment & Currency
We accept PayPal as well as international credit and debit cards. PayPal is usually the easiest option for customers outside India.
All prices on this website are shown in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹), including for international orders. Whichever payment method you choose, PayPal or your bank converts the amount into your local currency at their prevailing exchange rate, and that converted amount is what appears on your statement. Your bank may also apply a foreign transaction fee. This is charged by them, not by us.

Tracking Your Order
Once your parcel is dispatched, you will receive an email with your DHL Express tracking number. You can track your shipment door-to-door on the DHL website at any time.
Packaging
International orders are packed for long-haul transit, sealed, cushioned and protected against moisture. Liquids such as ghee, honey and syrups receive additional leak-proof packing.
Damaged or Missing Shipments

Organic Shikakai Fruit Powder is 100% pure Acacia concinna, the pod that gives India its oldest hair wash. The name literally means "fruit for hair". Unlike reetha, which mainly cleans, shikakai does both jobs: it lifts dirt gently and conditions, which is why hair comes out soft rather than stripped.
Why Shikakai Works
- Naturally low pH: shikakai is mildly acidic, close to the hair's own pH, which keeps the cuticle flat and hair shiny. Most commercial shampoo is alkaline.
- Cleans and conditions together: no separate conditioner needed.
- Detangles: the traditional reason it is used on long hair.
- Supports scalp comfort: traditionally used for flaking and itching.
- Safe with henna and herbal colour: will not strip natural colour.
- Gentle enough for children.
How to Use
- Mix 2–3 tablespoons with warm water into a thin paste. Rest 10–15 minutes.
- Apply to wet hair, concentrating on the scalp.
- Massage gently, leave 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Overnight method (better): soak the powder in water overnight, strain in the morning, and use the liquid. Easier to rinse and less residue.
The classic trio: shikakai + reetha + amla. Reetha cleans, shikakai conditions, amla nourishes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Shikakai or reetha. Which should I buy?
Shikakai if you want one product that cleans and conditions. Reetha if you want stronger cleaning power. Both together is the traditional answer.
Does it lather?
Lightly. Low foam is normal for saponin-based washes and does not mean it is not cleaning.
Will it dry my hair?
No: conditioning is shikakai's main advantage over reetha and over commercial shampoo.
How often should I use it?
Two to three times a week.
Is it safe on coloured hair?
Yes, and it is much gentler on henna and herbal colour than sulphate shampoo.
Do you ship internationally?
