About this product
Organic Spirulina Powder is a blue-green algae and one of the most protein-dense foods that exists. Up to 60% complete protein by dry weight, containing all nine essential amino acids. It is also a notable plant source of iron, B vitamins and the pigment phycocyanin.
Key Benefits
- Complete plant protein: unusual for a plant food, and the reason spirulina is a staple for vegans.
- Plant iron: one of the better non-animal sources, useful for vegetarians and women.
- Supports daily energy without caffeine, the most commonly reported effect.
- Rich in antioxidants, particularly phycocyanin, which gives spirulina its blue-green colour.
- Supports immune function as part of a balanced diet.
- Very low calorie, very nutrient dense: useful within a weight-management diet.
How to Use
Start with ½ teaspoon daily for the first week, then build to 1–2 teaspoons (3–6 g).
- Smoothies: the easiest route, banana, mango or pineapple mask the taste completely.
- Juice: stir into orange or lemon juice; the vitamin C also helps iron absorption.
- Warm water: with lemon and honey, in the morning.
Do not boil it. High heat destroys the heat-sensitive nutrients.
On the taste: spirulina is strongly marine and grassy. This catches people out. Fruit is your friend. Do not try it in plain water first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Spirulina or moringa. Which is better?
Spirulina is higher in protein; moringa is broader in vitamins and minerals and much easier to taste. Many people take both.
How much protein is in a teaspoon?
Roughly 2 g per 3 g teaspoon. It is a supplement, not a protein shake. Useful as a nutrient top-up rather than a protein source on its own.
Can I take it every day?
Yes. 1–2 teaspoons daily is standard for adults.
Why does it taste so strong?
It is algae. Blend it with fruit and the taste disappears entirely.
Who should avoid it?
People with autoimmune conditions (spirulina is immunostimulating), those on blood thinners, anyone with phenylketonuria, and pregnant or nursing women should consult a doctor first.
Do you ship to the USA and UK?
Yes: worldwide from India including USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and Singapore.
