Why Handmade Soap Feels Different

Most "soap" on shelves is a detergent bar. It foams impressively because of sulphates, and it leaves skin with that tight, squeaky feeling, which people mistake for clean, but is actually a stripped moisture barrier.

Handmade soap cleans through actual saponified oils. Less foam, softer feel, and skin that does not immediately need moisturiser.

Which Bar

• Panchgavya Soap: the traditional five-cow-product formulation. Our most popular, and the one people with dry or reactive skin come back for
• Haldi Chandan Soap: turmeric and sandalwood. Brightening and calming, and it does not stain because we use kasturi haldi
• Sandalwood Soap: our gentlest. Cooling, for sensitive skin and after shaving

All sold in packs of 5, 10 and 15. Households go through them, and the larger packs work out considerably better.

How to Make Them Last

This is the one complaint people have about handmade soap, and it is entirely fixable.

Handmade soap contains no synthetic hardening agents. A bar left sitting in a puddle will dissolve in days. Keep it on a draining dish, out of direct water spray, and let it dry fully between uses. Done properly it lasts as long as any commercial bar.

Are They Vegan?

Haldi Chandan and Sandalwood are plant-oil based. Panchgavya contains cow-derived ingredients as per the traditional formulation, vegetarian, but not vegan.
