Organic Henna Leaf Powder is 100% pure Lawsonia inermis leaf — shade-dried and triple-sifted to a fine, silky powder. Nothing else: no PPD, no metallic salts, no synthetic dye, no fragrance. It is used two ways: as a natural hair colour and conditioner, and as traditional mehndi for hands.
Key Benefits
Natural colour without chemicals — gives a rich copper-red on its own, and browns to black when layered with indigo.
Conditions as it colours — henna binds to keratin and coats the hair shaft, making hair feel thicker and look glossier.
Cools the scalp — the classic Ayurvedic use, particularly in Indian summers.
Supports scalp comfort — traditionally used for flaking and itchiness.
Safe for frequent use — no bleaching, no cuticle lifting, so root touch-ups do not accumulate damage.
Fine sift = smooth paste, easier application and easier rinse-out.
How to Use for Hair
Mix henna powder with warm water (or black tea for a deeper tone) into a yoghurt-thick paste.
Rest the paste 4–6 hours — this is the dye-release step and skipping it is why people get weak colour.
Apply section by section to clean, dry hair. Wear gloves.
Leave 2–3 hours. Rinse with plain water only.
Do not shampoo for 24 hours — the colour keeps oxidising and deepening for about a day.
For Natural Black Hair
Henna alone gives copper-red. For black, apply henna first and rinse, then apply indigo powder the next day — or use our ready Henna Indigo Combo.
For Mehndi Designs
Mix with water, lemon juice and a little sugar, rest overnight, and fill a cone. Leave on the skin as long as possible — the stain darkens over 24–48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will henna make my hair orange?
Pure henna gives copper-red — that is its only colour. On dark hair it reads as a subtle warm tint; on grey it is bright. For brown or black you need indigo as a second step.
Why must the paste rest before applying?
Henna needs 4–6 hours for the dye molecule (lawsone) to release. Applying immediately gives weak, patchy colour.
Is henna safe on chemically coloured hair?
Wait 2–3 weeks after chemical dye or bleach and always do a strand test first. Pure henna is safe; "black henna" containing PPD is not.
How long does it last?
Henna is semi-permanent and fades gradually over 4–6 weeks. It does not grow out with a hard line.
How do I get a deeper colour?
Use black tea or coffee instead of water, rest the paste longer, and leave it on for the full 3 hours.
Do you ship henna to the USA?
Yes — worldwide from India, including USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and Singapore.
