Dried Red Rose Petals are whole shade-dried petals from organically grown roses — not milled, not sulphur-treated, not artificially coloured. Shade-drying is what keeps both the colour and the scent; sun-dried petals go brown and smell of nothing.

What You Can Do With Them

Rose tea

Steep a teaspoon of petals in hot water for 5 minutes. Naturally calming, caffeine-free, and traditionally taken for cooling and digestion.

Gulkand

Layer petals with rock sugar or jaggery in a glass jar, leave in sunlight for 2–3 weeks, stirring occasionally. Traditional gulkand — a cooling summer preserve taken by the spoonful.

Bath and skin

A handful in warm bathwater. Or steep in hot water, cool, strain, and use as a natural rose-water toner.

Cooking and décor

In kheer, thandai, falooda, mithai and biryani. Also used for potpourri, wedding décor and puja.

Are they safe to eat?

Why are they not bright red?

Natural drying gives a deep crimson to burgundy. Bright red dried petals have usually been treated or dyed.

How long do they keep?

Around 12 months in a sealed jar away from light and moisture.
