About Organic Tea

Caffeine-free herbal teas from whole petals and leaves, no tea dust, no artificial flavouring, no "natural flavour" hiding on the label.

Three Teas, Three Purposes

  • Hibiscus Tea: tart, ruby red, cranberry-like. High in vitamin C. Excellent iced
  • Lemongrass: citrusy and calming. The evening one, and it supports digestion
  • Tulsi: the morning one. Adaptogenic, traditionally for immunity and throat

Also lovely: whole dried rose petals, on their own or added to any of the above.

Steep, Do Not Boil

This is the one technique that matters. Herbal infusions carry their aroma in volatile oils, and hard boiling drives those off. Pour just-off-boiling water over the herb and let it stand 5 minutes.

Boiled tulsi tastes of nothing. Steeped tulsi tastes like tulsi.

Iced and Cold Brew

Hibiscus is outstanding iced: brew double strength, cool, add lemon and mint. Cold brewing overnight in the fridge gives a smoother, less tart result.

Why Caffeine-Free Matters

You can drink these in the evening without affecting sleep, and give them to people who avoid caffeine. Lemongrass in particular is traditionally taken at night for calm.

One Interaction Worth Knowing

If you take blood pressure medication, speak to your doctor before drinking hibiscus regularly. Its effect can stack with medication. Hibiscus is one of the few herbal teas where this genuinely matters.

Pregnant women should avoid regular hibiscus and medicinal amounts of lemongrass without medical advice.
