About this product
Karela Jamun Powder is the classic two-herb Ayurvedic pairing for blood sugar support. Bitter gourd (karela) and Indian blackberry (jamun) seed, and nothing else. No fillers, no bulking agents, no sugar.
Important
This is dietary support, not a treatment for diabetes. If you take insulin or other glucose-lowering medication, tell your doctor before starting and monitor your levels, the effects can stack and cause hypoglycaemia. Never adjust prescribed medication yourself.
Why These Two Together
- Karela contains polypeptide-p, a compound studied for insulin-like activity, plus charantin and vicine.
- Jamun seed is rich in jamboline, traditionally associated with slowing the conversion of starch into sugar.
Karela works on how the body handles glucose; jamun works on how fast sugar arrives. That is why Ayurveda pairs them rather than using either alone.
Wider Traditional Uses
Beyond blood sugar, this blend is traditionally used to support digestion, liver function and the body's natural cleansing. Many people take it simply as a daily bitter tonic.
How to Use
1 teaspoon in warm water on an empty stomach, once daily in the morning. Some people add lemon. Take it consistently. This is a slow, cumulative herb, not a fast-acting one.
Give it 8–12 weeks and re-test with your doctor.
Ingredients
Organic karela (bitter gourd) powder and organic jamun seed powder. Two ingredients. No chemicals, no preservatives, no fillers. Vegan.
Available Sizes
100 g, 200 g, 500 g and 1 kg.
