About this product
Organic Peanut Oil (Groundnut Oil) is cold-pressed from organically grown groundnuts. Unrefined, unbleached, and extracted without hexane or any chemical solvent. This is the oil Indian kitchens ran on before refined oils arrived, and it still smells and tastes like actual peanuts.
Cold-Pressed vs Refined, The Real Difference
Refined oil is extracted with chemical solvents at high temperature, then bleached and deodorised. That process strips the natural antioxidants, vitamin E and aroma, and leaves an oil that tastes of nothing.
Cold-pressed (kachi ghani / wood-pressed) oil is crushed slowly at low temperature. Lower yield, higher cost, and everything stays in.
Key Benefits
- High smoke point (~230°C): genuinely suited to Indian frying, tadka and deep frying
- Natural vitamin E and antioxidants, retained because it is unrefined
- Monounsaturated fats: the fat profile that supports heart health
- Real peanut aroma: you can taste the difference in a simple tadka
- No solvents, no bleaching, no deodorising
- Organically grown groundnuts from our own supply chain
How to Use
Use it as your everyday cooking oil, tadka, sabzi, deep frying, snacks. It is also excellent for pickle-making, where the flavour genuinely matters, and traditionally used for oil massage (abhyanga).
Storage: keep in a cool, dark place away from sunlight. Unrefined oils oxidise faster than refined ones, which is the trade-off for keeping their nutrients.
Available Sizes
1 litre for trying it · 5 litres for a regular household · 15 litres for large families and best value per litre.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it smell strongly of peanuts?
Because nothing was removed. Refined oil is deliberately deodorised. This is what groundnut oil is supposed to smell like.
Can I deep fry in it?
Yes: its high smoke point is one of its main advantages over most seed oils.
Does it solidify in winter?
It may thicken slightly in cold weather. This is normal for unrefined oil and does not affect quality.
Is it safe for peanut allergies?
No. Unrefined peanut oil retains peanut proteins and is not safe for anyone with a peanut allergy.
How long does it keep?
Best used within 6–9 months of opening. Store away from heat and light.
Do you ship oil internationally?
Yes: worldwide from India including USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and Singapore.
